WHITT, SR., JoeAge 69 of Goodlettsville. July 25, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Raymon & Opal Collier Whitt; brother, Charles Edward Whitt. Survived by wife of 46 years, Ruby Jewel Bunch Whitt; daughters, Sheila Whitt (Terry) Ballard & Opal Whitt (Jerry) Lee; sons, Joe Whitt, Jr., Raymon (Cheryl) Whitt & Donald (Christy) Whitt; brother, Raymond F. Whitt; grandchildren, Alissa Ballard, Jerry Lee III, Justin Lee & Jessica Lee; favorite pet, J.J. Joe was a loving & wonderful husband, father, grandfather & friend. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. A member of Warfield Baptist Church in Kentucky. He was the owner & operator of Whitts Auto Sales Inc. for 18 years. Joe was a man of incredible strength & integrity. He survived cancer for 38 years. He recently became a Mason. A celebration of Joe's life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Forest Lawn Chapel, with Pastor & friend, Joe Hinkle, officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family & friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday, 3 - 8 p.m. & Wednesday, 10 a.m. until service.
