John Donald Saunders

John Donald Saunders - age 73, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013. An avid photographer and wood worker; he was a private investigator for Equifax for 34 years, retiring in 1994. He was born in Goodlettsville, Tennessee Monday, November 20, 1939 and is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mary Williams Saunders and his sister, Peggy Bratton.

Mr. Saunders is survived by his wife of 34 years, Stella Stark Saunders; son, William Ray Saunders; daughters, Barbara Gayle (Steven) DeLoach; Catherine Diane Saunders; step-sons, George (Paula) Sullivan, Jr., Michael (Sonya) Sullivan; grandchildren, Jesse Spencer, Lane Tylor, and Lauren Simone Saunders; step-grandsons, Tyler, Andrew and Matthew Sullivan; niece, Leigh Ann Bratton and nephew, David Bratton.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to those at Alive Hospice for their wonderful care.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will followin Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Saunders at a visitation Monday, September 2, 2013 from 2:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN.
