John Waymon Spurlock

John Waymon Spurlock, 82, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015. Born Friday, November 18, 1932 in Nashville; he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann Spurlock; grandson, Jake and daughter-in-law, Linda.

Mr. Spurlock is survived by his children, Jimmy (Teresa) Spurlock, Carl Spurlock, Janet Whitworth; brother, Jerry (Glenda) Spurlock; sister, Betty (Robert) Drake; grandchildren, Amber, Gina; great-grandchildren, AJ, Dillon, Jared, Lily.

Mr. Spurlock was a member of Portland Road Church of Christ, White House, TN and the East Nashville/Buena Vista Masonic Lodge.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Bro. Ollie Wilkinson and Bro. Dennis Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Jared Wilkerson, Jason Wilkerson, David Wrye, Wayne Harper, Larry Spurlock, James McGee; Honorary are Sonny Johnson and Bill Liptic.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 with a Masonic service will be at 7:00. There will be a two hour visitation prior to the Wednesday service.
