Aunt Betty & Mark
Uncle John was a very gentle and calming person in my life when I got to know him the summer we lived at Granny Webb's.   He was always fair and always taking care of everybody in the family.  When daddy died, I could never tell you how much we appreciated everything you and Uncle John did to help us get through that and always being there for Moma.  The angles are indeed singing with Jesus to have such a faithful child come home.  I love you and I pray for you during this most sorrowful time.  Uncle John is missed, just knowing that we can't say hello until we go home to be with Jesus.

Mrs. Betty Webb.  I first met Lt. Webb when he worked with my wife Eleanor at the Metropolitan Police Dept.  I found him to be a distinguesed gentleman and a loyal Nashville Metro Police Dept. employee.  I was certainally saddened by the loss of a long time friend.

Betty and Mark I know that we have not always been close but I express my deepest sorrow to you in this diffacult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.  May Uncle John rest in peace. Your Niece Jennifer and Family..

Mark - Your Dad was a fine man who always treated me with kindness.  I know you will miss him, but be proud that he set a high standard in his service to our city. All of us would do well to follow his example.

Courage, service to all who needed him, humility, utter decency and reliability.  My Uncle John set an example that I underestimated until I, too, worked in public service.  Go to heaven shouting, John.  Mark and Aunt Betty I will talk to you soon.

Lt. Webb was a good cop, a leader, dependable, respected and respectful, a professional and a gentleman.  He influenced a lot of officers in a positive manner and by his demeanor.  He was a credit to the department and to his family.

May God bless and keep you at this time.I knew John since 1961. I retired with 34 years from MNPD

As a young officer just starting off in the early 70,s I remember Lt Webb as always being someone you could depend on for the right answers, as a young officer it is important to always have some like that to guide you to make the right decisions. he was always someone you could depend on.
He will be missed by all
