

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Judith Anne Strange-Caneer, who left us on September 9, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on January 27, 1940, in Dickson, Tennessee, and lived a life filled with love, kindness, and selflessness.
Judith was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and was a pillar of strength to all who knew her. She found joy in family activities and had a passion for gardening, dancing, traveling, and genealogy. Judith was a proud member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Her generosity and warm spirit touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her children: Tonya (Alex) Miller, Tera (Mike) Kania, and Ben (Jennifer) Dunn; her grandchildren: Blake Burton, Eric Miller, Holly (John) Crowder, and Casey (Rick) Weber; her great-grandchildren: Krista (Coty) Tobitt, Mattie Burton, Stella Rose Burton, Serenity Anne Miller; one great-great-grandchild: Dallas Tobitt; and one sister: Alice Williams. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, George Foster and Elizabeth Rye; her late husband, Cliff Caneer; her grandson, Tyler Kania; and her sister, Gayla Osborne.
A funeral service will be held on September 13, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 1150 Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her beautiful life. The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place afterward.
