Hendersonville, TN
Tommy Lyle, age 84, of Hendersonville , Tennessee, passed away peacefully with loving wife of 64 years at his side on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Our dad was born December 23, 1939, at Nashville General Hospital, to the late Dewey and Olivia Lyle. And after living in a few different places around Nashville they settled in Bordeaux. Where he would go on to graduate in 1957 from Cumberland High School with our mom Jean Lyle. He worked at Baird Ward in the printing room before going into the banking business and finally ended up as a Senior Real Estate Appraiser until retirement. My dad has made many friends over the years but some of the best and life long have been at church. He and mom were devout members of Hendersonville Church of Christ. Dad was always there for us. Not just providing money for the essentials but there to teach by example. When we had anything going on he was there cheering us on whether sports or other competitions for school. You could always count on him to be there. He was tough but fair, he would give you the shirt off his back just be honest and up front about your intentions. Dad loved not just playing sports but coaching and over the years has coached all three of us.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his great grandson Rhett Brunes.
He is survived by his sweet wife and our mom of 64 years, Laura Jean McKinney Lyle; children, Mike Lyle (Sharon), Deborah Lyle Boehms (Nelson), Ricky Lyle (Debora); grandchildren, Mike Lyle, Jr (Stephanie), Matt Lyle (Cara), Maribeth Lyle Hurst (Jonathan), Charlie Boehms (Sara), Analena Boehms Edlin(Tyler), Samuel Boehms (Kyndell), Drake Lyle (Alyssa), Macy Lyle, Reagan Lyle, Hanna Brunes (Auston), Traci Austin (Jonathan) and ten great grandchildren.
