Linda Sue Pepper, age 82, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Thursday, July 30, 1942, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Walter Pepper, Sr.; parents, Thurman and Annie Billingsley; sister, Judy Lee Billingsley.
Linda is survived by her children, Walter (Sharon) Pepper, Jr., Robin Leigh (Tony) McNeal, David (Courtney) Pepper; grandchildren, Bryan (Sheena) Pepper, Megan (Ryan) Veal, Adam Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Annabelle Pepper; great-grandchildren, Abigail Veal, Madison Veal and Trisitin Phillips; sister, Alma Jean McWhirter; brother, Thurman Wayne Billingsley.
Linda worked many jobs throughout life by found her greatest joy in volunteer work. A member of Hendersonville Church of Christ for many years and active in ladies ministry; member of the Order of The Eastern Star for over 30 years and served several offices in Hendersonville #477 and Madison/East Nashville #1, she served as Grand Worthy Matron of Tennessee in 2018. She also volunteered with the Family and Community Education Organization for 40 years and this year received an Elite Award.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children Hospital; St Jude Children Hospital or Alzheimer's Association.
Family and friends will gather to remember Linda at a visitation Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM ending with an Eastern Star service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 12:00 PM. in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial following in the Garden of Gethsemane at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
