In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years, O.W. Mealer; son-in-law, Ray Smith; five brothers; two sisters.
Lola lived Lola’s way, but always had a caring and loving heart. She had a strong will and can be described as a fighter, she was a fifty-three year breast cancer survivor. She had a very competitive nature which explains why she loved to play games with her family and friends, BINGO was her favorite. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Rivergate Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, William F. Mealer, and his wife, Cynthia; daughter, Karen Mealer Smith; grandchildren, Will Mealer, Katie Radabough, and husband, Brad, Meagen Gosiewski, and husband, Michael, and Christopher Dickens; great-grandchildren, Ian, Marcus, Corey, and Molly. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends for Lola will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, followed by a celebration of life service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
