

Margaret Wamucii Thuku - Macharia (Maggie) was born on July 24th, 1977 at Kinangop Catholic Hospital in Nyandarua district Kenya. She was the 4th born child to Eshbon Thuku and Mary Wathuti.Step daughter to Magdalene Wairimu.
Margaret got married to Charles Macharia Mwangi in 2002 and was blessed with 3 precious children, James Macharia, Praxcedes Macharia and Tesia Macharia Sister to Joseph Aura (USA) Irene Amimo (USA) Gladys Muthoni, Leah Mumbi, Susan Wanjiku, Tabitha Wanjiru, John Kwenya and Grace Njeri. Stepsister to Janet Muthoni, Ann Wanjiru, Esther Wanjiku, Rahab Njeri, Zachary Kwenya, Elijah Muhia, Martha Wanjiru and James Munene.(Kenya)
Daughter in law to Watson Mwangi and Mary Mwangi. Sister in law to Peter and Esther, Samuel and Beth, Patrick, Monica and Steve (Kenya)
Survived by many nephews and nieces.
She grew up being a humble, hardworking and obedient God Loving person. Margaret attended Rugongo primary school and Mwenda – Andu high school.
She migrated to United States in 2010 and attended NATTS nursing college in 2011 and graduated as a nursing assistant. She worked for Guardian health care at Deberry special needs correctional facility.
Her illness begun in 2013 when she was diagnosed with Kidney cancer. She received treatments at Metro general hospital, Vanderbilt university medical center, Tennessee oncology and St. Thomas midtown hospital.
She was a devoted Christian and member of West End Community Church, Nashville, TN. She has left behind many great friends. She will be remembered for her great Love of God and people, tender spirit, kindness, and strength. She fought the battle against cancer until September 4th, 2014 @ 3.00pm when she was promoted to glory at St. Thomas Midtown hospital Nashville, TN.
All will dearly miss Margaret. She fought the good fight, finished the race and kept her faith.
It’s God who giveth and God who taketh. May His name be glorified. Amen
