Margaret "Mimi" Williams

Margaret "Mimi" Williams age 91, passed away November 20, 2019.

Preceded in death by husband, Walter Rich; son, Michael Rich; parents, Grady & Hattie Simpkins; siblings, R.T. Simpkins, F.M Simpkins, Irene Steele, Dorothy Johnson, Barbara Harville, Marcelle Williams, Betty Rogers.

Survived by brother, Grady Simpkins, the Light of her life Isaac Powell, Jaakan Powell, Josiah Powell and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; she will truly be missed by all. Mimi will always be remembered for her wisdom. The life advice she freely gave to so many, will forever flourish in the lives of her family. Mimi's faith in the Lord Jesus could never be questioned. Some of Mimi's favorite things include: Playing cards with her family and friends, she loved cooking, and made some of the best chicken and dressing; and cobblers you have ever eaten. Mimi loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her three great great great nephews, she would talk about them constantly. Going to her childhood home in Ashland City, TN she called it "going to the country". Mimi loved to go blackberry picking making wonderful memories and fun times with her family. During canning season her kitchen was filled with fruits & vegetables that she would prepare and share with family and friends. Mimi loved spending time on her front porch enjoying her flowers that she had grown. Mimi's favorite pastime has to be fishing with her late mother, brother, nephews and nieces she never missed an opportunity to fish.

In the end, Mimi, was a key figure in the lives of so many. Her calming presence seemed to make worst of things just go away.

Mimi will definitely be missed, but never forgotten, by all who knew her.

Visitation Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 4pm until 8pm and Sunday 12pm till time of service.

Funeral Service Sunday November 24, 2019 2pm in the Forest Lawn Chapel.

Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with active pallbearers Nick Rogers, Chad Rogers, Ronnie Rogers, John Warner, Jackie Steele, Ben Steele, Isaac Powell
