Born in Cleveland, OH to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Roney) Schenck, & also preceded in death by her husband, Huebert L. Wims; brother-in-law James S. Wims; sister-in-law Virgina Wims Durr.
Survived by her niece Pam DeMatteo-Linn (Gary); nephews Joseph Wims DeMatteo (Linda) & Steven H. Durr (Idira); & other extended family.
A retired Goodlettsville Elementary School teacher, Marilyn earned her degrees from Peabody College & MTSU. She loved animals, gardening & water skiing.
Family visitation Wed., May 24th, 10am - 11am, with funeral Mass to follow at St. John’s Vianney Church, 449 N. Water Ave., Gallatin, TN. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1150 S. Dickerson Pike Rd., Goodlettsville, TN. Contributions in memory of Marilyn Wims may be made to the Humane Society of Sumner County.
