
Mark Alfred Ellmore, Sr., age 84, of Nashville, died Sunday, Febraury 16, 2014. A native of Covington, Indiana, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sue Spivey Ellmore; son, Mark Alfred Ellmore, Jr.; and granddaughter, Jenna Alicia Tedder.
Mr. Ellmore is survived by his sister, Dorothy Ellmore Brenton of Bloomington, IN; sister-in-law, Gladys Claypool Ellmore Whitehead of Lake Wales, FL; daughters, Carolyn Taylor and husband, Jon of Nashville, Mary Pat Tedder and husband, James of Smyrna; and daughter-in-law, Sue Hardaway Ellmore of Smyrna; grandchildren, Kristin Taylor Cofoid of Nashville, Adam Ellmore, Tricia Tedder, Alicia Tedder Clifton all of Smyrna; Katie Ellmore Parker of Antioch, and Diane Ellmore Throgmorton of Clarksville.
A graduate of Covington High School, he served in the Indiana National Guard and was a lifelong farmer, school bus driver, volunteer fire fighter, Indiana Farmers Co-op manager, city councilman, and Bank of Western board member. he served as an elder of East Park Church of Christ in Danville, Illinois, where he was a member.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 1, at 1:00 pm, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, in Goodlettsville, TN, with Dr. Mike Moss officiating.
