Mary Tom Witherspoon Frederick, age 85, born Sunday, March 3, 1929 in Centerville / Taylor’s Creek, TN, died Monday, April 7, 2014.

Preceded in death by parents, Howard and Wilma Shephard Witherspoon, Husband, Milton Frederick; she is survived by sons, Dr. Randall Frederick (Brenda), Kurt Frederick (Cheryl); grandchildren, Carrie Frederick Simpson (Adam), Casie Frederick Adams (Ryan), Barrett Frederick, Jordan Frederick and William Marcum (M’Call); Great granddaughter Penelope Simpson.

Mary was a loyal member of Cross Plains United Methodist. She was employed by Veteran’s Administration Hospital for over 30 years. Mary loved working in her garden and playing basketball. At 70, she was a member of the Tennessee Senior Olympic basketball team that went to the National Senior Olympic Games.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Rev. Ron Lowery and Rev. Clint Jones officiating. Interment following in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
