Born in TN to the late Vestal and Lucille (Meadows) Keylon, Delma is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, James D. Gatlin; their son James Richard Gatlin; grandchildren April, Darrick, Kristi; great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Savana, Aubrey, Logan; sisters Mildred, Elise; numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved extended family and dear friends.
A faithful member of Forest Grove United Methodist Church in Joelton, Delma and her husband enjoyed spending time together and with their family. In their dating years, you could find the young couple at a drive-in movie or a good bluegrass concert, usually held on Old Hickory Blvd. Her enthusiasm for living life to the fullest was shared with anyone in her presence. She and her companions Red Hat Society friends, shared many meals and fun experiences together. Delma was always dressed for success and never met a stranger she didn't like. We will cherish our sweet memories shared with Delma.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 10am - 12pm, with a funeral chapel service officiated by Pastor Hubert Cunningham, to begin at 12pm and burial to follow, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN.
