Mary E Heithcock
March 1, 1923 – October 22, 2018
Catherine "Mary" Elbeleen Morse Heithcock, age 95, of Nashville, Tennessee was called to be with the Lord on October 22, 2018. Mary, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, lived a full Christian life and was loved by all who knew her. She always greeted you with a beautiful smile on her sweet face! For many years she and her husband, Marvin, served the Nashville community at their Dry Cleaning Service in downtown Nashville. Later, Mary volunteered for her church and outreach centers in Madison, TN. Mary was born in Nashville, March 1, 1923 to Elby Raymond Morse and Mattie Elizabeth Frogge Morse.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Heithcock and their precious daughter, Patricia "Marvene" Heithcock, her sister, Mattie Alene Morse Perry, niece Nora "Jean" Shimley, nephew Hugh "Sonny" Melvin Downs, and cousin Goldie B. "DiDi" Evans.
Mary is survived by cousin Roy D. Anderson, and other cousins, niece Mary Elizabeth Osborn, Carl Eugene Hendricks, Richard Benny Hendricks of Nashville, TN, and Janelle Antonia Shimley Burns, Karen Jean Shimley Reynolds, and Vance Elliott Shimley of Atlanta, GA and Laurel Brown of Nashville, TN.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Rd, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, and again Thursday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will begin Thursday, at 11:00 am and will be officiated by Minister Rory Anderson. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The Family would like to graciously thank the staff at Maybelle Carter Center and Creekside Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Madison, TN for their attentiveness and loving care they provided to our dear Mary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which Mary honored throughout her life for their compassionate care they provided to her beloved "Marvene".
