Janie received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Holladay Church of Christ in Cookeville,TN. She was a faithful Christian and a long-time member at Holladay and later joined the Madison Church of Christ and was currently attending the Donelson Church of Christ.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, homemaker, a true friend and caring neighbor. She was an accomplished seamstress with a passion for flower gardening, baking and crafts making. Janie worked many years in retail sales for Macy's of Rivergate Mall.
Ms. Johnson leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband of 46 years, Darrell R. Johnson; sons, Bradley Ray Johnson (Corey) and Brian Thomas Johnson; two grandchildren, Christopher Thomas Johnson and Madison Faith Johnson; three brothers, James McDaniel (Wanda), Walter McDaniel (Faye), Jack McDaniel (Ann); one sister, Helen McDaniel Fey (Jim); five nieces, two nephews, a host of relatives and friends and her church family.
The family wishes to thank the many friends and relatives for every act of kindness shown to us during the passing of our loved one. Special thanks to the Flamingo Girls: Beverly, Elaine, Gail, Linda, Margaret, Nancy, and Sharon; special caregiver, Katie Davis; Dr. Raefsky and his office staff: Cindy, Nancy and Vicky. Funeral services will be 12:00 Friday, July 12, 2013 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Russ King officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
