Merilyn May Evans passed on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 81; she was born Monday, July 10, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was a resident of Clarksville, Tennessee. Merilyn is preceded in death by her son, MSgt. Robert Nathaniel Evans;, USAF, and siblings, Grace, Clarence, Richard and Virginia.
A veteran of the US Navy, Merilyn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward Marshall Evans; children, Edward Neal Evans, Dawn Marie Harvey Barrett (Mark) , Michael Edward Evans (Hisae), William Kelley Evans (Donna); grandchildren, Edward T. Evans, Jessica Evans, Jennifer Reda (Michael), Brandon Rothenwander, Brooke Harvey, Marshall Evans (Neyha), Erica Evans, Robert N. Evans Jr. (Shilpa), Dina Benitez (Daryl), Nicole McClain (Nicholas)and Joshua Evans; great-grandchildren Noah Koskie, Preston Harvey, Autumn Evans and Abigail Benitez.
Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on June 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by A Celebration of Life 12:00.
Burial will be at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
