Mildred Helen Hardison, passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on November 9, 1938, Mildred was a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, and was known for her faithful and humorous nature.
Mildred was a loyal member of Kemper Heights Church of Christ, where her dedication and kindness touched many lives. She was cherished by her community and family alike.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hillard and Helen O'Brien; her husband, Jim Hardison; her son, Randy Maxwell; her daughter-in-law, Dixie Maxwell; and her brother, Lowell O'Brien.
Mildred is survived by her son, David Maxwell, and her daughters, Debbie Campbell (Jeff), Laurie Polchek (David), Sherrie Brooks (Dawayne), and Lori Gossett. She is also survived by her brothers, Eddie O'Brien and Terry O'Brien (Melonyne)- as well as 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, located at 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, on February 22, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on February 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same location on February 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm , followed by the committal service at 1:00 pm.
Mildred will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
