Mildred Louise Tanner, age 98, of Spring Hill, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024. Mildred was born Monday, September 28, 1925 in Cheatham County, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Strong and Eddie Eugene McCrary; husband, Dave F. Tanner; siblings, Marshall McCrary, Velma McCrary, Lloyd McCrary, Joe McCrary and Jack McCrary.
Mrs. Tanner retired from the Metro Police Department as a Crossing Guard for more than 27 years. She enjoyed bowling, playing baseball, and traveling.
Mrs. Tanner is survived by her daughter, Karen Hancock, son, Norman Tanner; grandchildren, Renae (Jack) Taylor, Travis (Carlos) Hancock, Brandon Tanner, Jennifer Tanner; great-grandchildren, Sydney Taylor, Cade Taylor, Selena Rodriguez; sister, Estelle Eidson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Tanner Monday, August 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eastland Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 in the chapel of Eastland Funeral Home 904 Gallatin Avenue Nashville, Tennessee 37206.
Following the service, burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, (Southside) 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, Tennessee.
