Morton Geraldine Barnes of Nashville, Tennessee age 84, peacefully passed Tuesday, May 13, 2014. She was born Saturday April 19, 1930 in Bedford County, Tennessee and is preceded in death by her parents, 13 siblings and son in law, Carl Becker.
She is survived by son, Stephen (Birgit) Barnes; daughter, Sawrie Becker; grandchildren, Meaghan Lokey, Patrick Barnes, Andrea Atwood, Garret Atwood, Ryan Becker, Derek Becker, Austin Becker; and by great-grandchildren, Madelyn Lokey, Baylen Barnes and Charles Carl Becker.
"Jeri" was a faithful member of Westside Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 38 years and an active member of Silver Sneakers. Known for her smile, she was a strong, loving mother and grandmother who was adored by all.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 in the Forest Lawn Chapel with Roger Patton and Dahl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
