Pat was born on July 22, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Albert and Tressie Walker. She was known for her kind heart, generosity and spirited nature. To her grandchildren, she was simply "Nana," a name that will always be remembered with love.
Pat dedicated 30 years of service to Zurich Insurance before retiring in September 2006. She and Ross made their home in Brandon, Mississippi, where they spent 35 happy years together. After Ross passed away in 2015, Pat moved to Tennessee the following year to be closer to her family.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, reading, decorating her home, shopping, and collecting dolls. She also looked forward to organizing pen pal picnics and loved spending time in her garden. More than anything, Pat enjoyed being with her family and the pets she loved.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Tressie Walker; her husband, Ross Copeland; her sons, William Willett, Mark Hosea, and Jeffrey Hosea (survived by his wife, Janet Hosea); and her brothers, Albert Walker (survived by his wife, Wanda Walker) and Ronnie Walker.
She is survived by her daughters, Melody Barnes (Josh) and Donna Wilcox; her stepsons, Herman Copeland, Jr. and William Copeland (Debbie); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of NHC in Hendersonville, Tennessee for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they showed Pat throughout her time there. Their support and dedication brought great comfort to both Pat and her loved ones.
Pat will be remembered for the love she had for her family, the home she created for them, and the many memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
