Paul William "Sonny" Horner, Jr.
July 7, 1948 - March 31, 2021
Sonny Horner was born in 1948 and grew up in Millersville, Tennessee. As a child he developed a love for working on cars and worked as an auto-diesel mechanic in Millersville most of his life. He was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War era and served in Air Missile Defense, being Honorably Discharged after 6 years. He loved his time in the Army, and was a proud American Veteran. Sonny loved nature and exploring the outdoors, spending many years camping, hiking, repelling, and was active in cave exploration and pit/cave rescue. He loved traveling off the beaten path on weekend road trips, as well as vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Gulf Shores, Alabama. He loved old hot rods, faithfully attending Spring and Fall Rod Runs in Gatlinburg for many decades. He was a devoted husband, loving father, brother and friend to many, and would often drop whatever he was doing to help someone in need. His deepest loves were his wife and family, and his faith in Christ.

I remember meeting Sonny at Gabe's years ago. He loved to dance& loved going to the races. I'd look up there every Saturday night I went & wave up to him. He always called me Kimmy.. he always wore that white cowboy hat or had a ball cap on he's head. He was definitely a great person& will definitely be missed.. May you R.I.P Sonny... Prayers for all

I remember when I was a little girl and my dad would go to Uncle Sonny’s shop he would always let me go in his office and watch cartoons while him and dad would work on the car. The last time I got to see him was at The Horseshoe in Alabama where he came to hang out with me. We talked about when us kids where little and how he was so proud of all us kids. He was a great man and will be deeply missed. I will always love him and remember our last hug and hearing him say I love you kiddo. Rest In Peace uncle Sonny until I see you again.
