Peggy R. Green

Peggy Ruth Green, age 79, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee surrounded by her loving family, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020. She was born Thursday, April 17, 1941 in Liberty, Tennessee and is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Jessie Mai Sandlin; husband, Billy Green; brother, Bobby Sandlin.

Peggy was happily married for 55 years to Billy, the love of her life. She had a great love of family and dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was selfless and caring to everyone who knew her. Peggy loved to travel and go camping with her husband and family. She cherished any occasion to be with loved ones making memories.

A longtime member of Parkway Baptist Church, Peggy went on many mission trips and loved her church family dearly.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Scott Green, Randall Green; daughters, Deborah (Robert) Reed, Sandra (Billy) Hallum; brother, Ronny Sandlin; grandchildren, Jessica Green, Heather (Chad) Love, Justin Green, Ashley Green, Mitch Hallum, Paige (Dustin) Huntsman, Christian Reed, Ryan Reed, Wyatt Green and 10 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be conducted 12:00 Monday, October 5, 2020 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be, Randall Green, Mitch Hallum, Christian Reed, Ryan Reed, Billy Hallum, Robert Reed.

Family and friends will gather to remember Peggy at a visitation Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 3:00 until 6:00 and Monday from 11:00 until the service at 12:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Pike Goodlettsville, Tennessee
