Born to the late John and Sudie Mae Hite, Becky is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert "Bobby" Arnold Overby; brothers John William "Bill" Hite, Buddy Hite and her sister Mazelle Hite. She is survived by her daughter Kathy L. Eden (Terry); granddaughter Katie Lynne Eden (Justin); sisters Lois Donnell, Helen Stromatt (Leon) and many other beloved extended family and dear friends.
Born in Adolphus, Kentucky; Raised in East Nashville, TN, Becky was a graduate of Hume-Fogg Academic High School. Later in life, she helped plan several class reunions with her fellow classmates. Becky worked in banking and insurance as a secretary throughout her career and was even honored as "Secretary of the Year" for Robertson County, TN in 1997.
In her early years, Becky and her husband Bobby enjoyed spending time with family and friends. You could find them just sitting on the patio and chatting, sometimes playing card games and occasionally cutting a rug to their favorite music. Later in her life, Becky enjoyed her coffee and crossword puzzles in the morning, watching football games - specifically the UT Vols and Tennessee Titans (unless playing against her main man Aaron Rodgers), reading and swapping-out books with her dear friend Janet. She also loved sharing time with her dear friend Betty. Devoted to her family (and friends that became family), Becky will be dearly missed though her memory will forever live in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 12pm - 2pm with a funeral chapel service officiated by Pastor John Hite to begin at 2pm and burial to follow, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville, TN.
