

Rita Catherine Singer (Mamaw), born on Friday, March 2, 1934, in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 91. She was a resident of Nashville, Tennessee. Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Catherine Geist; husband, Patrick Rowan Singer, Sr.; siblings, John Geist, George Geist, Joe Geist, Sister Janet Marie (Aunt Bert), Rosemary Calvin; daughter-in-law, Paige Singer.
Mamaw is survived by ten children, Patrick Rowan Singer, II, Marita Owen-Singer, Christopher Eugene Singer (Jody), Michael Karl Singer (Holly), John Daniel Singer (Robyn), William Peter Singer (Becky), Katrina Marie Neal (Calvin), Victoria Louise Singer, Mark Phillip Singer (Michele), Jeanetta Clare Singer; 26 grandchildren, Grace, Patrick, Everette, Haley, Katherine, Andrew, Griffin, Mickey, Daniel, Anita, Melody, Jake, Noel, Christy, Jenna, Will, Michael, Jessica, Robert, Jeremy, Collin, Nathaniel, Kayla, Zander, Kara, Rose; 30 great-grandchildren, Lofton, Sutton, Oakley, Millie, Caroline, Lydia, Ellie, Sully, Caitlyn, Sadie, Ethan, Sarah, Addalaide, Carter, Christine, Madilyn, Audrey, Jordan, Brooke, Abigail, Myla, Odin, Salem, Riley, Jack, Brynlee, Emily, River, Rita, Piers; siblings, Theresa Smith (Jim), Dorothy Wilson (Richard); In-laws, Richard Calvin, Ann Geist, Mary Geist, Julie Geist; and countless more family and friends.
Rita had a passion for flowers and trees; she was a great mother and teacher in the ways of Christ's love; The GREAT, Grandmother, creator of a legacy that will never end.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, located at 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the Rosary at 6:00.
A Funeral Mass will will be held at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 2800 Tucker Rd, Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 am with Father Hung Pham officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Devotion at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
