Goodlettsville, TN, at Twin Oaks Farm, a century farm, which has been in the family since 1855.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Regina Cliburn Overton, of Goodlettsville; his daughter Amanda Overton (Joey) Hargis; his granddaughters, Rebecca Lauren Hargis (“Rabbit”), and Sarah Ann Hargis (“Monkey”), all of Goodlettsville; and special cousin Linda (Joe) Mandino of Bolivar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Merrill Overton; grandparents, Stewart and Virgie Bachman and Leonard and Euna Overton; and special aunt and uncle, Paul and Annie Laura Owens.
Bob was a 1967 graduate of Madison High School and a 1968 graduate of Fall’s Business College. He worked at Sears in Madison as receiving manager and at Metropolitan Nashville as a surveyor until his retirement at which time he became a farmer. He was a member of Walker’s United Methodist Church.
Visitation is Friday, 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Interment is at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Walker’s United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
