Dale and I met in the 5th grade, when I won a goldfish by beating him in a spelling bee. That started a friendship that has lasted decades and endured through all of our many life stages and changes. It's been an honor and privilege to call him a friend, brother, shoulder to cry on and sometimes protector when we were at McGavock High School. We've seen each other through a lot over the years. Shirley, you were one of the best things in his life, I hope you know that! The way you have loved and cared for him, especially during the last years of his sickness, is such a testimony of devotion and sacrifice. I was so excited to meet you when you and Dale were dating and to have had your friendship over these 30+ years. You and the entire family are in my prayers over the coming days, as you say goodbye, and the coming weeks and months, as you begin life's journey without Dale. There is such joy and comfort in knowing he has gone Home and is walking with Jesus and you will be reunited again in Glory! I pray that God will wrap you all in His arms and give you a peace that only comes from Him. Iove you all!

Dear Shirley, Nick and I are so very sorry. You loved your precious husband so much and it showed in your face, your eyes and any time you talked of him. You have such a positive and sweet spirit and we know it's from our loving Father. May God bless you as you continue on. You'll have precious memories and ohhh how they linger, and we're so thankful for them. We love you and continue to pray for you dear sister in Christ, Debbie and Nick Kimmons
