Ronald Eugene Pitt, age 88, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faithful Christian, Ronald lived a life marked by integrity, hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for God and his family.
Ronald was born on July 16, 1937, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, to Clyde and Nellie Mae Pitt. He grew up with strong Christian values that guided him throughout his life and were reflected in the way he treated everyone he met—with compassion, respect, and generosity.
Ronald proudly served his country in the Tennessee National Guard for ten years. Following his military service, he built a long career at the Ford Motor Glass Plant, where his strong work ethic and dedication earned the respect of his coworkers. He retired at the age of 52, allowing him to spend more time with his family and pursue the hobbies he loved.
For 71 wonderful years, Ronald shared a remarkable marriage with the love of his life, Judith. Together they built a family rooted in faith, love, and commitment. He treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
Ronald enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and his passion for antique automobiles. He was a proud member of the Battleground Antique Car Club. After retirement, he became a successful real estate investor, where he used his wisdom, work ethic, and vision to build and manage investment properties over the years.
Those who knew Ronald will remember his quiet strength, steady wisdom, warm smile, and gentle spirit. He was a man of his word whose example taught others the value of faith, perseverance, humility, and unconditional love.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Judith Pitt; his daughter, Eugenia Ann (Mark) Ashwood; his son, Michael Anthony (Cindy) Pitt; and his daughter, Tracey Michelle (Leif) Kihlberg. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Sheri Pitt, Blake Ashwood, Preston Ashwood, and Cody Kihlberg; his beloved great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ashwood; along with extended family and many dear friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice team and caregivers who provided Ronald with compassionate care, comfort, and dignity during his final days.
