Roy Alvin Sanders "Brass Monkey" Born in Columbia, TN March 14, 1949 and passed away April 1, 2019 in White House, TN at the age 70 . He graduated from Maplewood High School and retired from Yellow Freight after 30 years of service. He spent his last years with his sons at Sanders Auto Sales. Roy loved spending time with his grandkids. He loved to shower others with gifts. He loved his cars and car shows. He was a proud owner of a 70 Chevelle Super Sport and a 03 50th anniversary Corvette.

Preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Oliver (Doc) Sanders.

Survived by his twin brother, Robert Sanders; sons, David and Glenn (Tammy) Sanders; 3 grandchildren, Zach, Luke and Ava Sanders; former wife, Darlene Crouch Sanders.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12pm Friday, April 5, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Elliott officiating . Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with David Sanders, Glenn Sanders, Zach Sanders, Luke Sanders, Roger Johnson and Peyton Baskin serving as pallbearers and Robert Sanders serving as an Honorary Pallbearer.Visitation with the family will be held Thursday 2pm until 8pm and Friday 10am until 12pm at the funeral home.

Roy treated everyone like family, he never met a stranger. He would not give you the shirt off his back, but would gladly buy you a nice new one. He will be greatly missed.
