Ruth Crafton White passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the age of 89. She was a devoted Christian and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother with a natural ability to make those she loved feel special.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband of almost 63 years Bobby Joe White, parents Edith and Rhea Crafton, sister Evelyn (Doug) Haury and brother John (Polly) Crafton. She is survived by her children Leah (Tony) Locke and Mark (Angel) White; grandchildren Megan (Ben) Perdue, Jena (Josh) Thomas, Dylan (Emily) White and Julie White; great grandchildren Evelyn Perdue, Grant Perdue and Elyse Thomas.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy on Friday at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at Forest Lawn.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Dylan White, Ben Perdue and Josh Thomas, nephews John Crafton, Jimmy Crafton, Larry White and Bruce Rogers, and great nephews Shane Loyd and Douglas Morgan.
