Enrique was born on July 24, 1946 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He was the youngest of 10 siblings born to Eulogio and Avelina Garcia. He married Amanda Sanchez on October 10, 1966 and had three children who he loved very much. He and Amanda amicably separated a few decades later and he fathered another son who he also loved deeply.
Enrique was a generous, quick-witted, outgoing man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed cycling and spending time with his family and friends. He competed as a professional cyclist for three decades allowing him to travel all over Central and South America. He was extremely family oriented and always worked hard to do whatever he could to make sure everyone was well.
He migrated to the United States in 2011. He was surrounded with love from his four grandchildren, son, Amanda, and extended family nearly at all times in his home. He worked five days out of the week with his son and grandsons and loved it.
Enrique was an exceptionally talented man with over 50 years of commercial and residential electrician experience. He had an exceptional memory and learned quickly. The list of praise he has received for his problem-solving abilities is endless.
He loved fiercely and passionately. He is loved by many.
He is survived by his four children, his 9 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild as well as his extended family and friends. Enrique would want us to celebrate his life and live ours to the fullest. Although we will all miss him more than words can say.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.EastlandFuneralHome.com for the Garcia family.
