

Sarah Jean Belton Worrell Moss, born January 31, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, daughter of the late William Samuel Paul and Isora Wray Belton. One of three children, her brothers were Paul Belton, Jr. and Dale Belton, both of whom predeceased Sarah.
A lifelong resident of Nashville, and, a member of the Southern Episcopal Church, Sarah graduated East Nashville High School in 1961. In high school she was active in the National Forensic League and served on the East Library Staff.
She attended Vanderbilt University to pursue a career in nursing. She devoted her working years to Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan; Dr. Robert T. Doster, M.D. and Dr. Robert M. Roy, M.D. and completed her professional work in the Accounting Department of Hospital Corporation of America.
She was married to Charles E. Worrell, Sr. June 10, 1964, and, to that union, one son was born, Dr. Charles E. "Gene" Worrell, Jr., who survives her. During the years of her disability, Gene gave unparalleled care to his mother's every need.
Sarah loved music, she studied piano as a girl; the theater, attending Broadway Plays in New York was a favorite experience; and, cats. Until her health declined, she was an avid pet owner/lover.
An Episcopal Funeral was conducted November 23, 1998 at Eastland Funeral Home, Nashville, by Dr. Charles E. Worrell, Sr. Interment was in the Garden of Sarah, on the lot with her parents.
