Sharon Ann Owens

Sharon Ann Owens was born August 9, 1947 in Nashville TN. She was a 1965 graduate of Isaac Litton High School where she was a member of the Litton Marching 100+ percussion core and performed in the 1964 Rose Bowl parade. Sharon attended Middle Tennessee State University where she was a charter member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and in 1969 completed her B.S. degree in Education. She retired as an educator with Metro-Davidson County Schools, teaching at Warner Elementary, Meigs Magnet School and Brick Church Middle School. She spent many years performing with the a cappella group Sweet Adelines and grew up attending Riverwood Church of Christ, later becoming a member of Community Church of Hendersonville.

Survived by mother, Roberta Owens and brother, Terry (Edie) Owens, Sr., nieces and nephew Kristi Smith, Terry Owens, Jr. and Julie (Danny) Wright.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Church of Hendersonville (381 West Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075). Visitation prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
