Steve was one of my younger cousins. I remember the fun times we had at Grandpa and Grandma Roe’s when the family got together for Christmas. It was a fulI house! I also remember running around the big yard at the family farm. When Steve and his family visited us in Pekin, we would play baseball in the backyard and I had no problem keeping up with Steve and his older brother, Ronnie—even if I was a girl! Although I hadn’t seen Steve in several years, my husband, Glen and I had a nice visit with him and his wife at the Roe Family Reunion last summer. He was as sweet as ever. Kind. Very kind! All of us who knew Steve will carry a piece of him with us in our hearts forever!

Steve was in my life for more than 62 years. He was my little brother. I will miss him dearly. I know he's with my father and in a better place. I will always cherish the time we spent with the store in Watertown. Also coaching softball together and our trips together to Florida. We both loved dancing. I will miss seeing him at Post 88. love you brother.

Steve and I are cousins and we were born the same month and year. He was the older one by a few days! I have many good childhood memories with my brothers and I hanging out together with Steve when our families visited each other. Also at family reunions all of us cousins would do something fun together. Many times we ended up at my parent's house on the farm going swimming in the pool or driving back to the pond! Steve, you maybe gone but my childhood memories of you will last forever! I pray for God to wrap his comforting arms around your family to help bring peace and comfort to all of you.
Your cousin Dennis
