Vivian L. Hampton

Vivian L. Hampton, age 96, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Vivian was born Tuesday, June 21, 1927 in Ashtabula, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Nola Greer Leonard; husband, Joe Davis Hampton, Sr.; grandson-in-law, Matt Gupton.

A homemaker and member of Grace Baptist Church she is survived by her son, Joe Davis Hampton, Jr.; grandchildren, Jay(DeAnn) Hampton, III, Bernie (Jaime) Hampton, Joanna Hampton Gupton; great-grandchildren, Emma, Charlee Ann, Breanna, Elijah, Ethan, Elise; sister, Linda Ferguson; niece, Cindy (Thad) Gentleman; nephew, Chuck (Sue) Hopper.

A visitation for Vivian will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.

A celebration of life will follow the visitation at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Garden of Devotion with Jay Hampton, Bernie Hampton, Bill Brewer, Elijah Hampton, Rick Davis and John Maynard serving as pallbearers.
