Walter Michael Henry

Walter Michael “Mike” Henry, age 65, of Hendersonville, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 in Hendersonville. He was born on March 25, 1956 in Ashland City to the late Walter Arthur and Annie Ernestine (Harper) Henry.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Sandra (Toombs) Henry; daughter, April Shubitowski (Terry); sons, Kenneth Henry (Heather), and Kevin Henry; grandchildren, Heaven, Jake, Toriana, Savannah, Callie, Brittany (Billy), Brandon (Hailey), Jordan, Michael, Ashley, Kenneth Robert, Jr., and Landon; great-grandchildren, Kenzlee, Keatynn, Kylie, Jaxton, Charlie, Colton, Eretria, and Alia.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Davis; son, Michael Keith Henry; aunt that was like his mother, Ann Anderson; special cousin, John Anderson.

Mike loved trains – in fact, anything to do with trains, he loved, was a model builder. He also enjoyed and was very talented at leatherwork. He cherished his family, and had a special place in his heart for his two dogs, Jack and Jill.

A visitation for Walter will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. A visitation will also occur Saturday, January 1, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
