Wanda Faye Kephart

Faye was born on July 18, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Richards; her granddaughter, Shelby Richards; best friend-her beloved great-grandson, Jaxon Childress; and her bonus son, Terry Ashley (Beth). She is also survived by her brother, Johnny Hooper, and her sisters, Delores Cole, Tobie Hooper (loving caregiver), and Darlene Lyle along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Faye was preceded in death by her father, William A. Hooper Sr.; her mother and stepfather, Zelma Louise and Lonnie Hendrix; her brothers, William A. Hooper Jr. and Gary Hooper; and her sister, Debbie May.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 4-8PM and again on September 16, 2025, from 10-12PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted by Willie Travis on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 12PM followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will include family and friends. All who knew Faye are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and joy.

Faye’s legacy of love, humor, and her passion for slot machines will remain forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
