

William Burns Lamb, age 87, of Goodlettsville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Bill was born Friday, November 19, 1937 in Nashville, TN to Richard Burns and Sally Lorene Lamb. He is survived by son Russell Brent Lamb (Laurie) of Dallas, TX, daughter LeAnn (Lamb) Ledbetter (Randy) of Hermitage, TN, 5 grandchildren, Hunter Lamb (Heather), Caleb Ledbetter, Jordan Ledbetter (Emily), Haley (Lamb) Barton (Josh), Luke Ledbetter (Gabrielle), and Nicole Lamb (surviving spouse of Hayden Lamb), 8 great-grandchildren, Noah, Emery, Knox, Lincoln, James, Kennedy, Eli, and Kamden, He is also survived by his brother Ron Lambe (Patricia) and sister-in-law Nancy Bennison along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Patsy Jean (Drake) Lamb, son Bradley Drake (Beau) Lamb, and grandson Hayden Lamb. He is also preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.
Bill’s first love was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his life demonstrated a deep and steady faith in Him. He loved his family and spending time with them was one of his greatest joys. He also loved singing and listening to gospel music, fishing, and reading. He was an active member of Parkway Baptist Church and loved his many friends, especially his Sunday School Class members and “the pool guys”.
Bill enjoyed a long and successful career in Nashville in the door and hardware industry. He retired from Isenhour Door Products where he made and has maintained life-long friendships and often spoke of his years there as the best and most rewarding time of his working years.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 3:00-6:30 p.m. and Friday, November 14, 2025 from 1:00-2:45 p.m., followed by a graveside service beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road Goodlettsville, TN 37072. The service will be officiated by Rev, Ken Castleberry, Rev. Matt Megginson, and Daniel Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, Bibles may be donated in Bill’s honor through The Gideon’s International (gideons.org).
