Passed away October 26, 2021 from cancer. He was the son of the late William Roscoe and Josie Inez Walters Padgett of Nashville. Survived by his wife Winifred (Winnie /Wendy) son William Corey all of Goodlettsville, TN. In addition to sisters Cheryl (Doug) Mack of Nashville , Vicki (Chuck) Clayborn of Springfield, TN. Cousin June (John) Harper of Hermitage, TN. Grant is the uncle to
three nephews and five nieces.
Grant retired from the State of TN Department of Labor and Workforce, Elevator Division in 2004. He was a proud alumni of East Nashville High School and life time member of Faith Baptist Church of Madison.
Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, October 28 from 1pm until 4pm followed by a funeral service at 4pm with Pastor BR Johnson officiating at the funeral home.
A Military Burial will be conducted 2pm Friday, October 29 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of floral arrangements contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church 1602 Gallatin Rd Madison TN. Or the WHO scholarship fund of East Nashville High School
