Age 84 passed away on November 12, 2016; in Hendersonville, TN. She was born on May 20, 1932 in Goodlettsville, TN to Bro. Fountain L and Estell Ray.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Barney L. Overton; parents, Fountain L and Estell Ray; brother, Fountain L (Butch) Ray, Jr.
She is survived by daughter, Janelyn Nance; step-daughter Dianne (Billy) Kirkland; 1 grandson, 3 granddaughters and 1 great-grandson; 5 sisters, Margie Hall, Delois Powell, Adean (Bobby) Brooks, Pat (Smitty) Schmidt and Tawanda Sanders; 2 brothers, Wayne Ray and Dr. Randy (Jan) Ray.
Visitation is scheduled for November 15, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm and from 10am Wednesday until time of the service. The funeral service will be at 11am on Wednesday. Jean's brother, Dr. Randy Ray, officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to:
