Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Susie Simpkins; brother, William “Buck” Simpkins.
Survived by daughters, Gina (Jim) Wheeler and Cindy Taylor; sisters, Frankie Crouch, Jane Simpkins, Jean Rogers and Mary Nell Mills; brother, John Simpkins; grandchildren, Michael Dyer, Jr., Shannon Stratton and Jonathan Dyer; great-grandchildren, Belle, Taylor, Madison, Hill and Ethan; pet, Itzy.
Mimi was a loving and caring person. She loved everyone. Especially the grand children, she would take them out on Friday nights for dinner and then Toys-R-Us for a little spoiling. She had a special recipe for brownies and sausage balls that everyone loved.
A celebration of her life will be held today, January 11, 2014, 10 am in the Chapel at Forest Lawn with Malcon Taylor officiating.
The interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will start at 9 am all at Forest Lawn.
