Francis Xavier Abel was born on August 17, 1942 in Cleveland, OH and died on November 16, 2016. Frank attended Ohio University before leaving for the Air Force in 1962 and was honorably discharged 4 years later. He spent his entire career in sales, both as an independent representative and also owning his own rep business, Double Eagle Sales, for the last 15 years with his wife of 21 years, Jacqueline Abel. They moved to Arizona and eventually moved to PebbleCreek in Goodyear, AZ, for the past 11 years. He was an avid golfer for many years and became interested in hiking the past five years, especially in the mountains north of Santa Fe, NM. He was a sports enthusiast and loved cheering for the AZ Cardinals. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Stacy; brother, Dick; nephew Tim; and nieces Karen, Tammy, Teresa, and Katrina. He is also survived by step-children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cecily; father, Frank; mother, Cecilia; and sister, Joan.
Arrangements have been made for a Celebration of Frank’s Life at St Peter’s Episcopal Church, Litchfield Park, AZ at 1:00 pm on January 21, 2017 with a reception following in the church’s Celebration Hall. Final burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the National Memorial Cemetery, Phoenix, AZ.
