

Born Agatha Ann Gavagan, November 6, 1950. Known by everyone as Aggie. Aggie was the eldest of 8 children born to John and Joan Gavagan. She was born and raised in Marshalltown, lowa before moving to State Center, lowa in 1972
She graduated from MHS in 1968, went onto MCC, graduated in 1970.
Worked for several years at Montgomery Ward and also Ben Franklin She also worked with the Eye Openers Drum and Bugle Corp, driving their equipment truck.
Worked at Distinctive Packaging / Chesapeake Corrugated Box and Display in West Des Moines, lowa.
She moved to Houston Texas in 1993 and worked for Brian Thomas Display and Packaging / Smurfit Kappa in many positions from machine operator to plant scheduler / plant superintendent. A quote that she would say, "I'm staying right here, never retiring so I can take care of my people and plant",

After having a major stroke in 2023, she retired after 30 wonderful Texas years, and moved to Buckeye, Az. to live with her sister Pat and family.
Aggie loved Indian Heritage, The PBR Bull riding, country music, traveling and her Green Bay Packers
Aggie is survived by Peter (Sandee) Gavagan of Steamboat Rock IA., Margee (Dale) Weston, Marshalltown, IA Mary Catherine Vaughn Monroe, IA, Pat (Darren) Rivas Buckeye, AZ, Mary Jo (Kevin) Morton, Marshalltown, IA, Joseph (Kim) Gavagan TN, KY
She is also survived by 26 nieces and Nephews. Lisa, Phillip, Angie, Jack, Michelle, Tresse, Andrew, Gini, Tj, Alex, Bryon, Travis, Nicholas, Amanda, Jamie, John, Shelly, Kari, Samantha, Christine, John, Becky, Jake, Joseph, Ethan, Levi. And also, a butt load of great nieces and nephews. (I don't know how many there are too many to count) Aunt Betty Alvey and a whole slew of cousins.
Aggie is preceded in death by John and Mary Joan Gavagan her Parents., Mike Gavagan brother, Tom Vaughn Brother-in-law, Willie Weston Nephew, Brandon Gavagan Nephew, Naomi Weston Great Niece.
Aggie is and always will be greatly missed!
