Antonia Manzanedo Solis, 92, of Avondale, Arizona, passed away on April 6, 2026. Born October 2, 1933, Antonia will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege to know her.
Antonia’s life was defined by steadfast devotion to those she loved. She shared 69 years of marriage with her husband, David Peralta Solis, a partnership marked by constancy, care, and the quiet strength found in a life built together. Her home and heart made room for what mattered most—family, time well spent, and the simple, sustaining routines that become a legacy.
Those closest to Antonia knew the warmth she carried into everyday moments. She found joy in singing the Spanish ballads she heard on the radio, letting familiar melodies speak when words were unnecessary. She also took pride in gardening, tending patiently to what she planted and nurturing beauty through attentive hands. Above all, she cherished time with family and grandchildren, offering presence, love, and a steady sense of belonging.
Antonia was preceded in death by her mother, Agripina Manzandeo-Gonzales; her father, Vicente Manzanedo; her baby sister Sara Gonzales; her sister, Mary Magdaleno; her brother, Edward Gonzales; and her daughter, Cynthia Solis.
Antonia is survived by her husband, David Peralta Solis; her daughters, Mary Silva and Allison Boothman; her son, David Solis; her sister Sara Gonzales; her brothers, Frank Gonzales and Albert Gonzales; and her grandchildren, Adam, Victoria, Aaron, Elizabeth, Andrew, Aubrey, Kolton, Chandler, Kendra, and Haley.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on April 21, 2026, at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, Arizona 85338.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial gifts be directed to Open Arms Home for Children (www.openarmshome.com).
