

Barbara was born on September 13, 1935, to Cecelia (Nehrig) and James Elliott.
On May 26, 1954, Barbara married the love of her life, Jarrett A. Terrell, in Orange, California. Their 69 years of marriage were filled with love, laughter, and devotion, and together they built a family that was always the center of her world.
She was a proud and loving mother to her four daughters: Teri McCormick, Meri (Dennis) Vejar, Cheri (Frank) Nickle, and Keri (Gary) Murphy. Her greatest joy came from her family, which grew to include 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.
Barbara had a creative spirit and loved spending her time crocheting, sewing, making beautiful cakes, and shopping—always with an eye for style. She loved the glamorous life and never missed a chance to sparkle. Known for her playful sense of humor, she delighted in cracking jokes and playing little tricks just to get a good laugh, leaving smiles wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jarrett Alan Terrell; and parents Cecilia Nehrig and James Elliott Sr.
She is survived by her daughters; her grandchildren: Amy (Adam) Probst, Jeremy (Megan) Beckham, Jessie (Linda) Jenkins, Jordan Jenkins, Jarrett Jenkins, and Justus (Aimee) Jenkins; Elizabeth (Joseph) Frommer and Sarah (Alex) Sherlock; James (Hayat) Moore and John (Megan) Moore; Kelly Murphy, Kasey (Stephen) Donohue, Kevin (Alyssa) Murphy, and Kyle (Emily) Murphy; her 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, James “Jim” Elliott, Paula (Rick) Cosenza, and Sue Burden; her loving cousins, Mary Van Holt, Sally Wright, John Nehrig, and Fred Nehrig; and numerous nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Barbara will be remembered for her warmth, her playful heart, her love of family, and her ability to make everyday moments feel special. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on through generations.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Cave Creek, AZ. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
