Carole Wade Egge passed away in Goodyear, AZ on December 31, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She went quickly and peacefully. Carole was born along with her twin sister Cheryl on May 15, 1945 to Harold and June Harriett Wade in Kearney, NE.
She grew up in North Platte, NE and graduated from North Platte High School in 1963. She then attended college at Kearney State College graduating in 1968 with a degree in Journalism.
Carole married Dennis Egge on Dec. 17, 1966 and had been married for 44 years. To this union 2 sons were born.
She lived in different parts of the country finally settling in the Atlanta, GA area for 25 years before moving to Goodyear, AZ for retirement.
She was a very prominent custom home builder in Atlanta during the 80’s and 90’s. Her career culminated with the winning of The Street of Dreams the only time she entered it. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, intelligence and tenacity on the golf course, but will mostly be remembered for her selflessness. She always put everyone ahead of herself and friends along with family were all touched by that at one point or another. This is a sad time, but Carole will live on in everyone’s heart.
Survivors include husband Dennis, sons Bryon of Denver, CO and Mike along with his wife Tiffany of Atlanta, GA, grandson Beckett, twin sister Cheryl Peters, sister Judy Lalanne of North Platte, NE, several nieces and nephews, and many friends throughout the United States.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents.
