Charles Arthur Campin III

Chuck was born to Charles and Mary Campin and was the oldest of three children, growing up with his sisters Cindy Failla and Kim Burkholder. He carried a strong sense of family throughout his life and always valued staying connected to those he cared about.

In the 1990s, Chuck made Arizona his home, where he built both a successful career and a life full of laughter, hard work, and love. Before joining Shea Homes, he worked for the Peoria School District in their maintenance department, where his strong work ethic and easygoing personality made him a valued member of the team. In 2001, he began his career with Shea Homes, spending two decades as a superintendent, known for his craftsmanship, integrity, and dedication before retiring in 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Aurelia “Bunny” Campin; his mother, Mary Genovese, and her husband, Ken Genovese; his sisters, Cindy Failla and Kim Burkholder; his children, Tara Cooke and her husband, Charles, and Joseph Sutton and his wife, Lexi; and his beloved grandchildren, Allyson Cooke, Levi Cooke, Wesley Cooke, Scarlette Sutton, and Karson Sutton — each of whom brought him endless pride and joy.

Chuck will be remembered for his humor, kindness, hard work, and devotion to family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the laughter he inspired, the homes he built, and the lives he touched.

He loved spending time with his family, making jokes, hockey, helping others, animals of all kinds, traveling, trivia, watching movies and sports. His favorite hobbies were landscaping and staying active. Some of his most cherished places to visit were the beach, national parks, and Seattle.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 24th, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Chapel located at 926 S. Litchfield Rd. Goodyear, Arizona 85338. A visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. with the Celebration of Life service starting at 10:30 A.M.
