Christopher Peter Gibbs

Chris was a devoted father to his two daughters, Hannah and Leia, and a loving fiancé to Jennifer. He was also the proud owner—or perhaps more accurately, the personal staff member—of two cats, Billy and Juno.

Chris spent approximately 26 years working at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, where he built a long and accomplished career. He earned a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the Leeds Metropolitan University, proving that he was capable of understanding things most of us would prefer to simply reboot and hope for the best.

Outside of work, Chris enjoyed the things that made life worth living: spending time with friends, relaxing with a cold Coors Light, and watching Game of Thrones. He had a particular appreciation for good company, good conversation, and probably more than a few opinions about who deserved to sit on the Iron Throne.

Chris will be remembered for his intelligence, his sense of humor, his friendships, and most of all, the love he had for his daughters, Jennifer, and his best mates, Dave and Karen Lawless. He leaves behind many memories, countless stories, and no shortage of reasons for the people who knew him to raise a Coors Light in his honor.

In true Chris fashion, he would probably remind us that life is short, friends are important, the beer should be cold, and nobody should ever get too attached to a favorite character on Game of Thrones because “everybody dies”.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family kindly requests no cut flowers. If you wish to honor Chris with a floral tribute, a living plant that can be enjoyed and remembered for years to come would be deeply appreciated. A memorial donation made in his honor to help out furry friends may be made to the Arizona Animal Welfare League.
