Cody Nicholas Palmason, 21, of Litchfield Park, Arizona passed away on May 20th, 2013 in Litchfield Park, Arizona. He was born September 1st, 1991 to Kelly Nicholas Mead and Stephen Palmason in Charleston, South Carolina. He served in the Army from April 4th, 2009 through November 16, 2012 as a weapons specialist infantryman. During Operation Enduring Freedom, from 2011 through 2012, he served with the "Bastard Company 2nd Battalion 27th Infantry Regiment" Wolfhound 3rd Brigade 25th infantry division, where he received the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, Overseas Service Ribbon (second award), Nato Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Global War on Terrorism Medal and Army Service Ribbon. He was survived by his mother Kelly Mead, his father Steven Palmason, and his dad Brian Mead. He had three siblings Evan, Bryant and Rileyann; five grandparents Shirley and Roger Nicholas, Michele Greer, Stephan Palmason, Gerald Greer, and Sharon Mead. A visitation will be held on from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday, May 28th at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd in Goodyear. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 29th at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, Arizona.
