

Cynthia Mary Blackman, 89, of Phoenix, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. Cynthia was born on June 1, 1937, to George Granville Hutton Clarke and Constance Adelle Clarke in St Philip, Barbados.
Cynthia was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Caring for her family was of utmost importance, and she loved making her signature dishes and bakes for family get-togethers and celebrations throughout the year.
Cynthia was gifted with her hands, and not only did she make delicious creations in the kitchen with ease, but she also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting as hobbies. While living in England, Cynthia grew a fruit and vegetable garden at home, was actively involved in our church, and sang in the choir. She also had a passion for health and wellness and loved sharing her learnings to help others. Cynthia was a Certified Nurse’s Aide and spent most of her career caring for the elderly in assisted living and hospice.
Cynthia is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Ingersoll, Julie Blackman, Heather Blackman, grandson Mark Ingersoll, and sister Mildred Clarke Hutson. Cynthia is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Blackman, her parents, her sister Beryl Springer, and two brothers, Graham Clarke and Cyril Clarke.
